About Craig

I have two professional passions: making great podcasts and helping others make great podcasts, too.

Before podcasting, I spent several years with Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase and held Series 6 and 63 licenses. So am I a financial expert? Nope, that's you. But this means I understand compliance concerns. I can keep you compliant with all state regulations and testimonial rules, and I have all required disclosure information to include in your podcast.

I want you to worry about as little as possible when it comes to your podcast, so you can focus on making an engaging, helpful show that you can be proud of — and that can help grow your business.

Because ultimately that's what this is all about, right? My goal is to help your business succeed with an amazing podcast that will expand your reach, increase your credibility, and bring in new clients.

How a podcast can help your business

A podcast is a powerful tool for growing your business. It's no accident that there are now more than two million podcasts indexed by Google.

Clearly it's a great opportunity, but among such a field, how do you stand out? More on that below. First, let's talk about how a successful podcast can help your business.

A great podcast can do three key things for you:

Expand your reach

To grow your business, go to where the people are. An estimated 62 million people in the U.S. are regular podcast listeners, and the number is growing quickly. That's a big pond to fish in.

Establish your credibility

Podcasting is a great way for a financial professional to establish trust and credibility with potential clients. Original insights, quality interviews, round-table discussions: whatever your format, listeners will feel a personal connection to you and come to trust you as an expert in your field.

Attract new, high-intent clients

Ultimately, whether or not this is your primary purpose in podcasting, your efforts in building your brand and reaching new potential clients will almost certainly turn some of those potential new clients into actual new clients. And those new clients will come to you prepared with a sense of trust that would otherwise take a lot of time to establish.

How do you stand out?

As I said before, there are a lot of podcasts out there, including many in your own field. So how do you stand out? Again, three ways.

First, quality. There's a lot of bad audio out there. Good content that enlightens and entertains, and is easy to listen to, will make you stand out immediately.

Second, consistency. You don't have to create a show every day or even every week. But releasing a show on a consistent basis is one of the first and best ways to signal your seriousness and trustworthiness.

Third, originality. Survey the existing podcasts in your field and you'll find that they tend to say the same things in the same ways. This doesn't mean you have to reinvent the wheel. Either find something new to say, or find a better way to present something that's already established.

I can help you make a consistent, high-quality podcast. Together, we'll show potential clients what makes you unique and why they should trust you.
